It’s Monday night and I move on Friday. I wouldn’t recommend anyone do what I’m doing in terms of packing…which is essentially nothing. I’ve done very little in that realm. I’ve done laundry and am finishing up painting my dresser a different color. I’m using google maps to figure out where my essentials are near [...]
These are the posts from August 2009
Well, without going too far and being too sentimental, I have one week left before I move. 168 hours from now, I will be sweating and rearranging things in my new apartment in Chicago. It’s interesting, as this date has approached, how nostalgia creeps in. I will miss my parents. I will miss my brother [...]

the results are in
Saturday morning I awoke at 7 a.m. to prep and drive out to my district interview for the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. I more or less knew what to expect: two interviews, both of about half an hour, and a short break break between. I was to be grilled by a panel of WASPs. I [...]

journalism students are telling newspapers what to do
I’m not even kidding. A Columbia Journalism student offers up a number of pieces of advice to newspapers on how to become relevant again…and it doesn’t involve time machines. The newsosaurs are taking this stuff seriously, too. Can you blame them?
Brief and to the point: I’ve mailed in my security deposit, and I will be living with a girl next year. My living situation is settled. Chicago cometh in 3 weeks.

of course i’m on board with cancelling student loan debt
Huffington Post had an article a few months ago about the possible effects of cancelling student loan debt, as opposed to the bailing out of the big wigs and upper class banking system. Granted it’s 6 months old, but you can read that article here. I’m probably as biased an opinion as you could get–I’m [...]

moving on…
Apparently, I am worth at least bringing back for a second look. I say this because my Rotary district has decided to bring me in for an interview as a finalist for the scholarship they will award for the year 2010-2011. Realistically, I received a phone call last week, I believe on Tuesday, from the [...]
It certainly has been a while since the last post. I’m not sure if you’d call what I’ve been doing as busy, but it’s been something. For the entire week, I had to dogsit for my older brother, who was on vacation with this wife in Canada. I didn’t think it’d be a big [...]
