What: Berea Fest III. A celebration of national and local DIY music and the community it creates. With support from all who are involved, we can create something that is relevant on our own terms. We all have the ability to inspire and impact each other and the world around us.

Where: St. Paul’s Lutheran church 276 E. Bagley Rd. , Berea , OH 44017
Berea is just outside of Cleveland, Ohio.

When: July 18 th and 19 th

How Much: $5.00 for each show. This money goes to pay for gas for out of town bands. This is also a fundraiser for the Berea Children’s Home. Last year we raised over $700.00 for them! Let’s top that!!!

TO THE PEOPLE COMING TO THE SHOW: Please respect the place that is hosting the event. Please respect the bands and the other people coming to the event. Please respect the parents and volunteers helping out with the event. Bring a WATER BOTTLE! This cuts down on waste and keeps you hydrated. It will be HOT! Also, be sure to recycle. THIS EVENT IS YOURS, so if there is something going on that you like, support it. If there is something negative going on, help address the issue. We want this event to be comfortable and welcoming to EVERYONE!

BRING FOOD for yourself and for the bands! There was a bunch of food last year, lets make it happen again.

We have been getting a lot of emails from out of towners about places to stay. There are some Bereans opening up their homes/families homes and backyards to let the out of towners stay. There are a lot of people to house for the weekend (over 100 just in bands) and not really many punk houses. We are trying figuring out who is willing to have kids stay at their homes. If you are from the Berea/Cleveland area and you would allow people to sleep at your house send me an email letting me know where you live, phone number, and how many people could stay so I can send people your direction. pat at shoutoutloudprints dot com

Other sleeping options...Crystal Springs Campground (31478 Bagley Rd. North Ridgeville, OH 44039 #440-748-3200) it is about 10 min drive from Berea. Campsites are $15 for 4 people per night. If you are looking for hotels there are a bunch right off I-71 which is about 3 miles east of the show. There is a Motel 6 there (I am assuming that is the cheapest option).

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

Recycling/trash: We need people to encourage recycling throughout the show. This will included posted signs, talking on the microphone, and talking to people. This also includes sorting and disposing of the items at the end of the event.

Equipment/Sound: Help make set changes quick. Get equipment on and off of the performing area. Make sure bands sound good.

Bathroom: Make sure it stays stocked with towels and TP. Keep it cleanly.

End of the night Clean up: you know, clean up post show.

Make sure its all good: walk around every now to make sure it’s all good. Check the parking lot, building etc.

Food: Make food for the bands! Help serve/clean up food stuff.

If want to volunteer, e-mail Austin at delayace at yahoo dot com

TO THE BANDS: It would be awesome if you were there to support as much of the event as you can! There will be places to stay but come prepared. If you have a tent, bring it, bring a sleeping bag etc. The set changes are quick and there are a ton of bands! Please share AS MUCH OF THE EQUIPMENT AS YOU CAN. Pay attention to your set length. The equipment provided is as follows: 2 Marshall 4x12 Cabs, Ampeg 6x10 bass cab, bass combo amp, drum set, 4 channel PA System. Bring your own head! Drummers: bring cymbals, snare, kick pedal, sticks.

Question or concerns e-mail pat at shoutoutloudprints dot com

We couldn’t possibly have every band play that we wanted to play. We worked hard to make an inclusive and enjoyable line up, so please do not be offended if you are not playing. There is always room for more fests/shows in Berea . Do it! We know you can. DIY!

Berea Fest is drug and alcohol free, thanks!

Love, Berea Fest!
